Lisa Holdeman, Assistant Vice President – Gift Planning

In her role as assistant vice president for gift planning, Holdeman is responsible for directing a comprehensive planned giving program with a goal of increasing the quantity and quality of current non-cash gifts and testamentary gifts to support the University of Houston.

She joined UH in 2006 and previously served as assistant vice president for corporate and foundation relations in University Advancement, working to build collaborative research partnerships, enhance private sector support and initiate workforce development and recruiting. 

Holdeman, who received a bachelor of business administration degree in finance from Texas Tech University, spent more than two decades in the banking and financial services, including executive positions with Wells Fargo and Washington Mutual. 

She is a member of the Planned Giving Council of Houston and the Greater Houston Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.  

At UH, she is serving (or has served) on the Research Council, the 50th Anniversary Homecoming Committee, the UH Energy Advisory Board, the Campus Facilities Planning Committee and the President’s Medallion Committee.   Lisa is also the recipient of the 2012 Staff Excellence Award in Effective Leadership.


Her husband, Nicky R. Holdeman, O.D., M.D., is the associate dean for clinical education and executive director, University Eye Institute in the College of Optometry.
