About the authors:

Wendy Adair is the university’s Associate Vice President for University Relations. She has been with UH since 1978 and received her MBA from the university in 1990.

Oscar Gutiérrez is the university’s Associate Director for University Relations. He graduated from UH with a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 1967 and has been with the university since 1992.

About the photographer:

Many of the book’s more recent photos are by Mark Lacy, who has been University Photographer since 1992. He graduated from UH in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts with a minor in journalism.
