Equal Employment Opportunity / AA

Welcome to the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity / AA (EEO/AA). General responsibilities of the EEO/AA Office include the development and implementation of equal opportunity programs and affirmative action that ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The EEO/AA Office works closely with University administrators to develop and monitor the faculty and staff recruitment and selection process to ensure nondiscrimination. This office also coordinates and presents awareness and prevention training in sexual harassment and workplace sensitivity and is charged with implementing the University's Sexual Harassment Policy and the Title IX Grievances and Other Discriminatory Complaints Policy. In addition, the EEO/AA Office handles complaints of discrimination and harassment based on race, color, sex, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, age, disability, genetic information or veteran status.

With regard to discrimination and harassment policies, individuals may contact the EEO/AA Office to inquire about the process for addressing discrimination concerns, counseling, filing a complaint, and/or the application of policies to specific situations. The Office of Equal Employment Opportunity / AA works as a neutral fact-finder in collaboration with other units of the University, when necessary, to seek a fair and effective resolution with due regard to confidentiality to all concerned. No person shall be subjected to retaliation for filing a complaint or assisting others in an investigation under the University's equal employment opportunity and affirmative action policies.
