This class is an introduction to Ancient Greek - which is itself an introduction to Greek literature, history, and culture. The course is designed to immerse you in Ancient Greek by means of a series of increasingly difficult passages from ancient Greek authors such as Homer, Herodotus, Euripides, and Plato. Over time your reading fluency will increase, and by the end of the year you will be reading selections from classic works of Greek literature with ease.
